一、教学目的和要求(Teaching aims and demands)

    1.知识目标：

      A.学习下列新单词和词组：fast food, Italian, India, Fish and chips, workplace, seem, even, chocolate, Italy

      B.掌握表达法：It seems that…

    2.能力目标：培养学生听说读写的综合能力,着重为阅读能力的培养。

    3.情感目标：让学生了解不同国家人民所喜好的食物，增加民族自豪感。

二、教学重点和难点(Key points and difficult points)

1.表达法”It seems that…”的掌握和运用。

2.培养正确的阅读习惯，掌握阅读方法，理解文章。

3.能用自己的语言表达关于食物的一些观点。熟练地用英语表达同意和不同意。

三、教学方法（Teaching methods）

    1.创设情景，采用情景教学法。2.采用任务型教学法。

四、教学过程(Teaching procedures)

1.热身准备，导入新课

(1)教师课前准备一张自己在大吃某食物的照片，并让学生猜测教师最喜欢的食物，通过此活动复习上节课的词汇，为新课 作铺垫。

(2)猜中食物以后师生讨论里面有什么，复习salt, sugar, oil, wine等词汇，并插入So句型的复习。如：I like noodles with pepper. What about you?然后教师总结：Everyone has his favourite food. Every city has its favourite food. So does every country.

   (3)教师与学生一起问答并完成下列表格：

其中Italy, Italians, pizza, uncooked, chips,为生词，通过图片及适当的解释便可以使学生掌握。

    2.自然过渡，导入阅读

(1)结合表格教师提问:Which food is the post popular food in the world? Is it Chinese food? Now read quickly and find out the answer.待学生找到答案后再问：How do people know? 在回答这两个问题的过程中猜测下列四个词或句型的意义并适当解释：

It seems that….    fast food     even     find…doing      workplace

(2)仔细阅读并补全短文（该题由课时导航初二下P3 第五大题改编，详见试题集锦2）

在校对答案的同时，学习并练习下列知识点：

one of +the + 形容词（最高级）＋名词（复数）

fish and chip shop 和 fish and chips 的区别

3.任务布置、拓展运用

(1)朗读课文，为根据表格复述作准备。

(2)学生结合表格复述课文。可以请优等、中等的学生复述，然后集体复述，最后请基础较差的学生复述。

(3)结合表格师生相互提问表达自己的看法，用上句型：

 --Do you think pizza is good for health?或Pizza is good for health. Do you ˇ--Yes, I think so./No, I don’t think so

  Yes, I agree./No, I don’t really agree.

(4)作调查

运用上面的句型进行调查。

汇报：In our group. Li Lei thinks pizza, hot food and Chinese food are good for health. Uncooked fish, English and American fast food are bad for health….

教师可以总结；Fast food is very quick, but most of us think it’s not good for our health. We should eat more fruit and vegetables. I’m very happy that most of us think that Chinese food is good for health. And I hope it can be the world’s most popular food. Do you agree?

（5）拓展阅读，完成表格：

On New Year’s Day, many people eat special food for good luck. In Spain and some Lantin American countries, people eat twelve grapes at mid night on New Year’s Eve—One grape for good luck in each month of the new year.Chinese people eat dumplings. Some are made with a coin inside. Every one tries to find the coin for luck and money in the new year. Of course they don’t eat the coin.Japanese people eat noodles on New Year’s eve or on their birthdays It may bring them good luck and long life.
