JEFC Book 2  Unit 16 Lesson 64

 

一、教学目标和要求

 1. 知识目标

  A. 学习下列新单词和词组:

     suddenly  DVD  sign  lost  main  be/get lost  in time  make one’s way to 

 just then  first of all  go wrong

B. 继续通过各种活动巩固前面所学内容:第一部分为听力活动;第二部分复习问路的几种不同表达方法及may的用法;第三部分要求根据对话内容画一幅地图并标出对话 中某人所处的位置;第四部分要求看图编设对话;第五部分是一篇选读课文。

2. 能力目标:培养学生将所学知识进行归纳、整理的能力,教师应想方设法使学生在学习这个单元的过程中学会通过各种方法梳理所学知识的能力,温故而知新。

3. 情感目标:成功的欢乐是一种巨大的情绪力量。教师一定要做到因人施教,努力给每个学生提供实践及展示自己的机会,让每个学生都能感受到成功带来的喜悦和自豪,教师的鼓励与赞扬是促进学生主动发展的强化剂。

二、教学的重点和难点:掌握问路和指路的方式以及情态动词may的用法。

三、教学方法:

 1. 听、说、读、学全面开展复习活动,加强学生的语言技能。

 2. 教师要给予学生更多的启发和引导,用游戏的方式激发学生兴趣,使学生能在复习的过程中有更多的收获。

四、教具:录音机  the VCD of the lesson from “Golden Disk”

五、教学过程

Step1  Leading-in 创设情景,激发兴趣

 1. Play the game: Whose pen is it?

    Get some pens from some Ss. Let some Ss guess by saying “It may be …”

 2. Listen to a song, get ready for Part 2.

Step2   Pre-task  激活思维,迁移知识

 1. Listen and answer (listen to the tape and do the exercise on page70)

    If Ss have difficulties, can show the words on the screen and let them find the answer.

 2. Play a spelling game:

   A: How do you spell “library”? (revise the new words in this unit)

   B: I’m not sure. C may know.

   C: L-i-b-r-a-r-y. How do you spell “history”, D?

   D: I’m not sure. E may know.

 3. Practise

  1) Read the dialogue with Ss, then let Ss ask and answer in pairs.

  2) Do the exercise 2 in workbook, Lesson 64.

Step3  While-task  巩固拓展,达标反馈

 1. Read and draw

   Ss work in groups: read the dialogue and draw a map on a piece of paper to show where B’s home is.

 2. Write

   Let Ss look at the picture on page 6 and make up a dialogue: (three Ss in one group)

   A: Excuse me, sir. Can you please tell me where the college is?

   B: Sure. Go along this road.

   A: Which road?

   B: This road, Zhongshan Road, past two streets.

   C: And then what?

   B: It will be on the left side of the road.

   C: Is that the west side of the road?

   B: Yes, it is.

   A&C: Thank you.

 3. Read

  1) Let Ss watch the VCD and think about one question:

    Why did Mrs Lee have to return to the restaurant? ( Because she left her things there.)

  2) Read the the passage and answer the questions:

    Why did Mrs Lee come to Tokyo?

    How far was the video shop from the restaurant?

    Why did she have to hurry to the video shop?

    When did she know she was lost?

    How did she find her way back to the restaurant?

Step4 Check  布置作业,提升任务

 1. Finish off the exercises in your workbook, Lesson 64.

 2. Draw a map, and invite one of your classmates to your home, let him/her find it by your words.
