一、教学目的和要求(Teaching aims and demands)
1.知识目标:学习下列新单词和词组:choose, seller, truck, biology, be fed up with, knock on, refuse, politely, a pair of scissors, tennis rackets
2.能力目标:培养学生综合运用英语的能力。
二、教学重点和难点(Key points and difficult points)
全面巩固和复习过去进行时态,使学生能熟练灵活运用。
三、教学方法(Teaching methods)
1.创设情景,采用情景教学法。
2.采用任务型教学法。
四、教学过程(Teaching procedures):
1.热身准备,导入新课
(1)做一个猜谜游戏,活跃气氛。可以让学生猜测: Can you guess what I was doing at 8:00 last night? You can guess like this: Were you reading at 8:00 last night? You can get a small present.
(2)教师介绍:What about you ? I think you were doing your homework. You all work very hard. Then what about the people in the dialogue? Please listen and writhe the answers in the form below.

Check the answers and ask: Who don’t you believe? Why? Whose car do you think hit the old man? Why do you think so?
2.师生互动,由浅入深
(1)教师介绍:Now we have another case. A man was killed yesterday morning. A policeman wants to know:” What were you doing at ten o’clock yesterday morning?”教师引入课文第二部分,编对话如下:
A: What were you doing at ten o’clock yesterday morning?
B: I was working in the hospital.
A: Are you a doctor? Yes, I am.
让学生猜测下列新词汇的意思: choose, seller, truck
(2)根据表格用过去进行时态练习课文第三部分。讲解生词biology的意思。
(3)完成课文第四部分,请学生把文章写下来,请中下的学生把文章板书在黑板上,进行集体批改,学到这里,中下的学生应该能够写得比较可以了。还可以把好的文章作为听力让其他学生做。
(4)做听力,听短文并完成表格。
3.自然过渡,导入下一环节
(1)教师介绍:Look at the title “a bad neighbour”. Do you think which kind of neighbour is a bad neighbour. 让学生在组内讨论写下答案。然后让学生快速阅读文章,并在阅读前给出一个问题: Who was the bad neighbour. Why was he a bad neughbour?学生快速阅读并给出答案: It was Masha and Sasha’s neighbour Misha. Because he was always borrowing things and never returned them.
(2) 让学生仔细阅读并猜测新词汇的含意,然后教师解释如下:
be fed up with, be tired of
knock on the door, knock at the door
refuse, say no to sb politely, a polite man is always welcome
a pair of scissors, we can use it to cut things. It has two knives
tennis rackets, we play tennis with a ball and a pair of tennis rackets
4. 师生合作,巩固知识
(1)学生朗读课文并用自己的语言结合新词汇进行课文内容复述。
(2)做巩固练习
(该题改编自励耘精品系列丛书初二《课时导航》(下)P63第5大题)
翻译下列句子:
1. 这个学生在作业中犯了很多错误,老师很生气。
2. 他的邻居老是向他借东西,他讨厌极了。
3. 他邀请她去参加他的生日宴会,她由礼貌地拒绝了。
4. 怀特一家在吃晚饭时听到了敲门声。
5. 每天早上闹钟唤我起床。
(3)本课Workbook有许多很好的练习供学生做,包括一篇拓展性的阅读,通过做练习,师生共同总结过去进行时态的用法,做到举一反三。如:
When the man came in, we were reading.
We were cooking at five yesterday afternoon.
They were playing football from four to six. last Sunday.
He was reading at this time yesterday.
He was doing the homework and forget the time.
