六、教学过程

Step1热身复习,导入新课

1. Warm up. The teacher shows the pictures of some people and work places, and ask the students to say out the names of these occupations and work places.

2. SB Page 50, Part 4. First play the tape, and have the students listen and repeat. Make sure students understand the meaning of the chant. Divide the whole class into 8 groups. Give each group a line from the chant. Have them practise it a few times. Then point to each group and have them say their line together. Now point to the groups randomly and change the order of the chant.

3. SB Page 49, Part1. First the teacher plays the tape and ask the students to say the works after the tape. Then tell the whole class how to read these groups of letters.(总结这些字母组合的发音规则。)

4. SB Page 49, Part 2. Books closed. Play the tape and make the students listen to it carefully. Then make them say these sentences one by one after the tape. At last ask the whole class to pay attention to the rhythm and intonation.

Step2 师生互动,逐步深入

SB Part 3 短文处理

1. Give the whole class some time to read this passage carefully and then ask them to finish the eight questions below the short passage.

2. Check the answers to these questions.

3. Books open. Play the tape and ask them to listen to the tape carefully.

4. Make the students understand the whole passage. If there are some difficult words or sentences, the teacher should explain them in English or in Chinese.

5. Ask the whole class to listen to the tape again and repeat.

6. Make the whole class read this passage together.

SB Checkpoint 26处理

Go through Checkpoint 26 and explain any problems. Give examples of the differences between the Present Indefinite and the Present Continuous Tenses.

She watches TV every evening.   She is watching TV now.

Explain the differences between these two tenses and tell the students how to use them.

Step3 巩固拓展,达标反馈

1. Ask and fill in the form.

Ask the students to work in groups and then fill the following form.
