一. 教学目的和要求（Teaching aims and demands）

　1. 知识目标

　　A . 学习下列新单词和词组: change, have a good time, in fact, at midnight, arrive, telephone, complain, quarrel with, surprise, police, voice, enjoy oneself, themselves, care, half-way.

　　B.继续学习由when, before, after 引导的时间状语从句和if引导的条件状语从句.

　2. 能力目标：培养学生听说读写的英语综合能力。

　3. 情感目标：通过让学生学习有关聚会的小故事,教育学生要注意培养公共道德意识。

二. 教学重点（Key points）

　1．change, have a good time, in fact, at midnight, arrive, telephone, complain, quarrel with, surprise, police, voice, enjoy oneself, themselves, care, half-way.等单词的读音和拼写。

　2．表示时间、条件的状语从句。

三. 教学难点（difficult points）

　　状语从句的时态。

四. 教学方法（Teaching methods）

　1. 通过小组合作活动，使学生用中学英语,学中用英语.

　2. 通过听一听、议一议、说一说、练一练等形式激发学生学习的兴趣。

六. 教学过程 ( Teaching procedures)

Step 1 听力练习

SB Part 1 的处理

　　准备做听力训练之前，给学生半分钟的时间看图。 放录音，按练习册要求，每当学生听到有与图中不符的地方时，让学生举手示意。 如果一遍不行，可再放，但不超过三遍。最后由老师小结。

　　The answers are: Picture 1: The woman only has two children.

　　Picture 2:The bus that is coming is number 12,not 11.

　　Picture 3:The woman is waiting in a train station, not a bus station.

Step 2 师生互动,由浅入深.

SB Part 2的处理

　1．让学生自己朗读课文，然后根据课文内容，判断下列句子是否正确：

　　A. The Smiles had many friends in the new town just after they moved there. ( )

　　B. Mrs Smile wanted to invite people to her home because she wanted them to invite her to theirs.( )

　　C. Mr Smile did not want to invite people to his home. ( )

　　D. Their friends enjoyed themselves at the party. ( )

　　E. All their friends went home because Mr Smile quarreled with a policeman. ( )

　2. 学习文中有用的表达方法：

　　change one’s job, in fact, at midnight, arrive in /at, telephone the police, complain about sth, quarrel with sb, That’s a surprise, in a tired voice, enjoy oneself, have a good time.

　3.Listen to the tape and answer the following questions.

　　A. Why didn’t the Smiles have many friends at first?

　　B. Why did Mrs Smile want to invite people to her house a few weeks later?

　　C. Why didn’t Mr Smile want his wife to invite many people?

　　D. Why did their friends stay till midnight?

　　E. Who telephoned the police? Why?

　4. Let the students read the passage again and fill in the blanks with the words in Lesson 68.

　　First have the students finish writing individually. Then have the students share their answers with their partners. At last check the answers with the whole class.

Step 3 巩固拓展

　1.Go through checkpoint 17 with the students.

重点小结时间状语从句、条件状语从句的用法。提醒学生如果主句的动词用一般将来时，由if , when 引导的从句通常用一般现在时。

　2．达标发馈
