JEFC Book2 Unit18 Lesson70

一、教学目的和要求(Teaching aims and demands)

  1.知识目标:

   A.学习下列新单词和词组:dream, worst, wake up, fall asleep, plant, storm, difficult, sleeping pills, be awake, relax, again and again

   B.掌握表达法:as soon as,  stop…from doing,  be busy doing,

  2.能力目标:培养学生听说读写的综合能力,重点是阅读能力的培养。

  3.情感目标:引导学生正确面对成长中的心理及生理健康问题。

二、教学重点和难点(Key points and difficult points)

1.表达法” as soon as”、 “stop…from doing“和“be busy doing “的掌握和运用。

2.正确理解文章内涵,并能复述课文内容。

3.能用英语讲述自己的或听说的梦。

三、教学方法(Teaching methods)

  1.创设情景,采用情景教学法。

  2.采用任务型教学法。

四、教学过程(Teaching procedures)

 1.热身准备,导入新课

(1)教师呈现Jill的图片并提问关于Jill的情况,最后请学生讲述Jill的情况,复习上一节课。

(2)教师呈现Roy做梦的图片并提问:What about Roy? He also has some trouble. What’s his trouble? Can you guess from the picture? 自然地引出dream和have dreams.并说:Yes, he often have dreams. Every night as soon as he falls asleep, he dreams.教师把整句话板书并让学生猜测as soon as和fall asleep的词义。教师可以再造句:As soon as I get home, I begin to cook supper.或 As soon as I wake up, I get up. 然后教师请学生造句谈论自己,学生会说:As soon as I get home, I begin to do my homework. 或 As soon as I get to school, I begin to read.等等。

  (3)教师再问:What’s he dreaming about? What’s he busy doing in his dream? 引出 be busy planting trees.教师接着介绍:Look at Roy in his dream. He is very tired because it’s hard work. Hard work means difficult work. He often dreams about difficult work,so when he wakes up in the morning, he is very tired. He wants to stop doing that, so he went to see a doctor one day.

  2.自然过渡,导入阅读

(1) 要求学生快速阅读并找出下列问题的答案:What did the doctor ask him to do? Did it really work?学生回答:The doctor asked him to listen to light music before he fall asleep. It didn’t really work. He felt even more tired.

(2)仔细阅读并回答下列问题:

a.     How did Roy feel when he waked up in the morning?

b.     What did he dream about last night?

c.     What did he dream about a few nights ago?

d.     Did the doctor give him any sleeping pills/medicine?

e.     How did the sleeping pills work?

f.     Why did the doctor ask him to listen to music before falling asleep?

g.     What did he dream about that night?

通过回答问题,让学生体会新学的词汇并猜测下列词的意义:a terrible storm, stop…from doing, sleeping pills, be awake, relax, fast asleep, again and again。其中stop…from doing应该多造一些句子。

(3)做巩固练习

(改编自励耘精品系列丛书初二《课时导航》(下)P21第三大题) 

翻译下列句子:

1.    我看到他会把一切告诉他的。

2.    妈妈阻止我看电视足球赛。

3.    你必须戒烟。

4.    没有任何事能阻止他来。

5.    昨天夜里,我一入睡就梦见我去了花园。

 

3.任务布置、拓展运用

(1)朗读课文,为根据所给的词语复述作准备:wake up, dream about, as soon as, fall asleep, be busy doing, storm, stop…from doing, difficult, sleeping pills, be awake, relax, light music, fast asleep, again and again, more tired.

(2)学生结合所给的词语复述课文。可以请优等、中等的学生复述,然后集体复述,最后请基础较差的学生复述。

(3) 作调查,学生开展自由采访,完成下列表格:

How often do you have dreams?

Can you talk about your best or worst dream?

最后请同学汇报,通过调查,学生间相互了解了情况,教师可以适当总结,引导学生正确对待青春期的成长烦恼。如:Thank you for your very good reports. I think dreaming is very usual. Most of us have dreams. Try to relax and don’t think too much of it, you will be OK.
