一、教学目的和要求(Teaching aims and demands)

  1.知识目标：学习下列新单词和词组：look over, take exercise, enough, fat, thin, instead (of), 掌握句型:There is nothing much wrong with….

  2.能力目标：培养学生的阅读能力和英语表达能力。

  3.情感目标：让学生在幽默中体会到健康的生活方式的重要性。

二、教学重点和难点(Key points and difficult points)

1.能较好地理解文章。

2.把对话改编成短文并能用新学的词汇表达。

三、教学方法（Teaching methods）

  1.创设情景，采用情景教学法。

  2.采用任务型教学法。

四、教学过程(Teaching procedures):

1.热身准备，导入新课

(1)复习系动词进行造句竞赛,教师应该鼓励有实际意义的句子，如：The woman felt very angry when she knew her son didn’t finish his homework. 可以根据句子的水平给以不同高低的分数。

(2)教师介绍：Let’s make another kind of sentences. Please open your books and turn to Page19. Finish Part Two , please.给学生一定时间准备后师生一起校对答案并猜测新词instead和make trouble的含意，并引出instead of sth/sb/doing sth。

(3)完成课文第一部分听力练习。教师这样导入：Now we are going to listen to a dialogue. Mr. Brown’s head hurts. Listen carefully and find out what part of his head hurts? 学生听一遍以后回答：The front part。再仔细听完成课后的表格。

(4)教师介绍：That’s all for Mr. Brown’s trouble. Here I have two people. They both have trouble, too. 教师用简笔画呈现一个很瘦的人和一个很胖的人。引出 thin和fat。然后提问：What does the thin man have to do if he wants to be fatter and healthier?引导学生回答：He has to eat more food and take enough exercise.同样提问：What does the fat man have to do if he wants to be thinner and healthier? 引导学生回答：He has to eat less food and take enough exercise.

  2.自然过渡，导入阅读

（1）教师呈现Mrs. Brown在诊所的图片并介绍：This is Mrs. Brown. She is seeing her doctor. She has trouble. What’s her trouble and what did the doctor ask her to do?要求学生快速阅读找出答案：She is too fat. She has to eat less food and take enough exercise.

（2）仔细阅读，回答文章后的5个问题，在回答过程中解决一些理解上的难点：

a.     通过上下文推测look over的词义。

b.     运用There is nothing much wrong with… 造句。

c.     too much rich food

d.     every five minutes

3.师生合作，巩固知识

（1）两人一组进行朗读练习，要求尽可能地记住课文内容。

（2）选一些基础较好的学生进行表演，如果时间许可也可以让中等程度的学生进行表演。

 (3) 要求学生把对话改编成短文，用上下列新学的词汇：

   every five minutes, look over, There’s nothing much wrong with…, eat too much rich food, take enough exercise, fat, thin, want to be…, instead of

  范例如下：

  Mrs, Brown was not feeling very well. She often felt tired. She had to rest every five minutes when she planted flowers. So she went to see a doctor. The doctor looked over Mrs. Brown very carefully and said there was nothing much wrong with her. But she had a problem. She ate too much rich food and didn’t take enough exercise. She was too fat. The doctor asked her to eat less food and take more exercise if she wanted to be thinner. She had to have one apple, one orange, some dry bread and a glass of milk instead of three meals. but at first she didn’t understand. she thought she had to eat them before or after meals. What an interesting fat woman!

(4) 做巩固练习(该题改编自励耘精品系列丛书初二《课时导航》（下）P24第六大题)  

根据所给的首字母填空：

The houses in London are e__________. E__________ a little flat w__________ a garden costs a lot of money. With l_________ money, one can get a little house in the country with a garden of o____________ own. In the country, one can rest from the n_________ of the town. Though one has to get up e____________ and spend more time on trains or buses, he can s__________ better at night. 4.布置任务，深化提高

    完成课文内容第三部分，给一位经常生病的笔友写一封信，劝导对方学会健康地生活，养成良好的生活习惯。

    在写作前，最好小组内讨论并列出健康的生活和行为习惯，教师四处巡视，评出最佳创意小组，然后尝试写作，如果时间不够，可以作为课外作业，进一步深化。
