  I Teaching Aims and Demands:

  V Teaching Procedures : 

  Step 1 : Warming-up

  Take out some pictures and get the Ss to talk about the pictures and then ask the following:

  Why animals need to hibernate ? what way and what are the characteristics of animals’ hibernation?

  Step 2 : Watching and Listening

  Answer the following questions:

  Which type of animals hibernate in winter?

  Which type of animals don’t hibernate in winter?

  Which animals did half-hibernation in winter?

  Step 3 : Reading

  Read Lesson 46 carefully and choose the correct statements .

  It is very hard to travel through the muddy and icy roads in this area.
