一.   教学目的和要求(Teaching aims and demands

    1. 知识目标

A . 掌握并会运用下列词汇: person, speed, thought, technology, best seller, interested, in the living room, be written by, in new ways, one of the best sellers, on the New York Times list, seem to be, be interested in.

B. 理解掌握下列日常交际用语,并能在情景中进行运用:

           It must be very interesting.

           I don’t think you’ll like it.

           It seems to be an interesting book.

 2. 能力目标:

通过语境设计以及听、说、读、写的课堂语言实践活动创设有利于培养学生主动发展的英语学习环境,培养学生恰当表达自身思想、情感的交际能力。

 3. 情感目标:

  通过格林父子的对话,介绍比尔盖茨及他的一本畅销书,引导学生形成正当的兴趣爱好。

二. 重点(Key points)难点(difficult points):

 1.新词汇的掌握与运用

2.理解掌握下列日常交际用语,并能在情景中进行运用:

           It must be very interesting.

           I don’t think you’ll like it.

           It seems to be an interesting book.

.教学过程 ( Teaching procedures)

Step 1 热身准备,导入新课         

  1.Show three famous people’s photos to the students, say I have some pictures, Can you guess who he/she is? What does he/she do? (用抢答形式),:引出:You all know him/her, Because  he/she is a famous person. 板书 person. 

  2. Ask who do you think is a famous person, too? Why? In pairs, have the students to discuss the questions. 

  Say Here is another picture of a famous person.. Who is he?  What do you know about him? Teach Bill Gates. and then encourage students to say something about Bill Gates in English or in Chinese .

Step 2 师生互动,由浅入深.

SB Part 1 对话处理

  1.Say Jim and Mr. Green are in the living room now, please What are they talking about ?  Close your books and listen to the tape carefully, then answer the questions.

   (They are talking about Bill Gates and his books.

  2. Play the tape and have the students to listen and repeat.

  3.Let the students read the dialogue again  Then answer the following questions:

   A: What’s the name of the book?        呈现新词汇:Business @ the speed of thought

   B: Who wrote the book?                            be written by

   C: What’s the book about?                                             computer  technology

   D: How is the book?                              It seems to-----

   E: Does the book sell well?

   F: Why does Jim like Bill Gates?

  介绍新词汇:business @ the speed of thought,  computer technology  be written by  the best sellers  the New York Time list  be interested in

  4.Reading after the tape ,have the students practice the dialogue in pairs, then get some pairs to act it out.

SB Part 2的处理

  1.In pairs, have the students read the dialogue, Then have students make up their own dialogues based on the dialogue given .

Step 3 巩固拓展,达标反馈

  1.  Interview your partner, write down his/her answers in the table and then report them to the class.

  2. Encourage students to make sentences with : “I’m sure -----” and “It seems to----” after the model.

     Model: I’m sure you’ll like it. It seems to be interesting book.

Step 4 作业布置,延伸课外

   Tell us something about a book that interests you most.
